Ultherapy can reduce jowls and other loose skin in the face and neck areas by toning and tightening the muscles underneath. It also encourages the rebuilding of collagen and the production of new collagen.
The Ulthera System is the first noninvasive procedure that lifts the skin of the neck and chin to be approved by the FDA for such an indication. In 2009, it was also given an FDA indication as a facial treatment, specifically for a noninvasive eyebrow lift. It remains the only lift with this indication that has an energy base.
